INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We start the week with a return to winter-like conditions, featuring blustery winds and scattered snow showers. Snow showers develop today. Cold air continues to pour into central Indiana behind a powerful cold front that brought strong to severe thunderstorms across our area Sunday night.
Little winters are common in the spring when periods of cold weather pop up in the middle of warm weather that is more typical for the season.
A strong cold front, which could bring strong storms and snow flurries, will push through the area on Sunday.
Cold, breezy conditions are expected across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex on Monday, March 16. The NWS issued a Freeze Warning for the area until 9 a.m. on Monday. However, temperatures will remain chilly, falling into the lower 30s on Monday night. Wind gusts will be as high as 30 mph.
