Microsoft has confirmed that the Windows 11 January 2026 Update is causing at least three major issues, rolling out fixes for two bugs.

As reported by Windows Latest, Microsoft has now “released fixes for at least two bugs.” Specifically, the shut-down failure on older PCs running Windows 11 23H2 and a “much more widespread” remote desktop login failure affecting 24H2 and 25H2.
Microsoft 365 services including Outlook, Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Purview were impacted on Thursday, with the company issuing an update on the matter.
