Demand for emu eggs is booming in Australia as they are being featured in some of country's top restaurants. One emu egg is equivalent to eight chicken eggs. Full of protein and big enough to feed a family, the eggs have are becoming part of Australians’ daily diet. Female emus lay one egg every three days during winter months.
