Neanderthals aren’t gone, their DNA lives on in us. 🧬 Research by Nobel Prize winning scientist, Svante Pääbo, revealed that modern humans still carry fragments of the Neanderthal genome in our DNA. Each of us may carry different pieces, but taken together, scientists estimate that at least 60% of the full Neanderthal genome still exists in people living today.
